Eastern Oregon University Administrative Professionals are unclassified, non-ranked, fixed-term administrative positions. The Administrative Professional Executive Committee (APEC) is charged via the University Constitution to represent all Administrative Professionals on various issues. Sam McCumber<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sam\u2019s dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to student success make her an outstanding choice for November\u2019s Administrative Professional of the Month. Colleagues consistently describe her as a steady, uplifting presence in Advising, someone who not only goes above and beyond, but who does so with positivity, warmth, and deep institutional knowledge. This term, Sam visited CORE classes to help freshmen prepare for two-term registration, even scheduling advising appointments for students unable to meet with their assigned advisors. Her 30+ years of service to EOU are marked by leadership, collaboration, and an exceptional ability to connect data with real student experiences. Whether supporting faculty, advising councils, task forces, or major university initiatives, Sam brings insight, efficiency, and integrity to every project. She models the highest standards, inspires excellence in those around her, and continually advocates for students and colleagues alike. Jamie Landa is a shining example of dedication, leadership, and support at Eastern Oregon University. Her colleagues describe her as someone who consistently goes above and beyond for her department and the campus community. Known for her open door and willingness to listen, Jamie provides thoughtful guidance to anyone navigating tasks or conflicts, always with professionalism and empathy.While her department has been operating with limited staffing, she has taken on additional responsibilities with a positive attitude, including her vital role in helping bring college operations together under a provost-assigned restructuring effort. Jamie approaches this challenging work with care for all individuals involved, ensuring that every voice is heard during times of change.She is also recognized for her strong advocacy on behalf of employees and her commitment to creating a supportive environment across campus. She played a key part in developing a new onboarding system designed to make navigating EOU\u2019s processes more accessible for new hires. Her colleagues deeply value her hard work, integrity, and genuine investment in the success and well-being of others.
