{"id":380,"date":"2011-10-20T20:07:48","date_gmt":"2011-10-20T20:07:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eou.edu\/staging-admissions\/?page_id=380"},"modified":"2026-04-10T02:00:34","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T02:00:34","slug":"international-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.eou.edu\/admissions\/international-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"International Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Applicants who are not United States citizens or immigrants will be considered for admission to Eastern Oregon University as international students. <em>A $90 application fee is required.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Freshman<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><strong>To be considered for admission, international students applying from high school must have:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The equivalent to a standard U.S. high school diploma (modified, honorary, or other non-standard diplomas are not recognized).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A grade point average equivalent to 2.5on the U.S. 4.00 scale.\u00a0\u00a0Official transcripts must be submitted in English. Transcripts should be evaluated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wes.org\/\">WES<\/a>\u00a0or another <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naces.org\/members.html\">NACES<\/a>-approved organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1ao-rqvMGqoy3xbQRLiFEbhCbfVpwt0qv\/view\">English proficiency<\/a> as demonstrated by one of the following: a minimum score of 61 on the internet-based TOEFL exam or 500 on the paper-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ets.org\/toefl\">TOEFL<\/a>&nbsp;exam; a minimum score of 5 on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ielts.org\/en-us\">IELTS<\/a>&nbsp;exam; satisfactory completion of level 112 in an English language school; or successful completion of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eou.edu\/intprog\/english3\/\">American Classroom Readiness<\/a> course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verification of finances through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eou.edu\/international\/files\/2025\/12\/Affidavit_of_Support_25_26.pdf\">Affidavit of Support<\/a>&nbsp;form and bank statements (current to within 6 months of application).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transfer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To be considered for admission, transfer students must have:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The equivalent to a minimum 2.25 cumulative grade point average on the U.S. 4.00 scale taken from an accredited college or university. Official transcripts must be submitted in English.
