FOCUS
FOCUS is a self-paced, online career guidance tool used to assist you in self-assessment career exploration. Users of FOCUS learn to make more realistic decisions about their goals and plans, how to self-manage their careers and the importance of adaptability in these times of change.
Employment Assistance
We can assist you in finding part-time jobs on and off campus, summer jobs, and connect to internships and full-time career opportunities.
Individual Consultation
Assistance is provided with choosing a major, career choice, development of resumes, letter writing assistance, job search strategies and more.
On-Campus Recruiters
Recruiters visit our campus annually. The schedules are posted on our website, in our office, announced in The Voice, and posted on our bulletin boards.
Career Resource Room
Career related materials, ranging from occupational handbooks to job search guides, are available for your use.
Job Searching on the Web
Computers are available for students & alumni to job search on the web. The Career Advising staff will provide assistance and point you to reliable sites on our website.
Graduate School
Up-to-date information is available for those who are researching or selecting a graduate school.
Employer Contact
Meet and visit with employers during the Summer Jobs & Internship Fair, Community Job Fair, First Avenue Jobs & Graduate School Fair, the Education Career Seminar and other campus events.
Student Employment
Part-time employment during college can assist in paying the bills but it is also an opportunity to develop skills and to gain valuable work-related experiences.
Career Advising coordinates job listings for both on campus and off campus jobs.
On Campus
Opportunities for part-time college work-study and non work-study employment on the EOU campus are listed online at Career Advising web site under Students and then Part-time Job Listings.
Off Campus
Students can find part-time and summer work with local employers at the same web site. The Job Location and Development Program works with the community employers to develop work opportunities for Eastern students.
