Dr. Dearinger joined the history department in 2009. His research and teaching interests include 19th and 20th century U.S. history; immigration; race and ethnicity; the American West and the Pacific Northwest; labor and working-class history; gender and masculinity; violence in American history; environmental history; and the historian's craft. Dr. Dearinger is the advisor of Alpha-Gamma-Xi, EOU's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society.
