Learning Outcome: Students will enrich their learning by connecting community service to their academic and personal lives.

Means of Assessment: Satisfactory accomplishment of the above outcomes will be assessed through the following requirements:

• 20 hours of service minimum, as contracted with your organizational partner,
• Attendance at all class sessions and active participation,
• Three formal writing assignments, supporting materials, and evaluations,
• Cornerstone form, and
• Evaluation submitted by organizational partner.

To access via EBSCOhost:

1. Go to Pierce Library home page: http://pierce.eou.edu/
2. Click on By database name
3. Click on EBSCOhost Web
4. Click on Continue
5. Enter "service learning" (without quotes) in the first dialogue box and "Allen" in the second, selecting AU Author instead of Default Fields
