Geography is not just about place names. Our Minor in Geography at EOU reflects the spirit of many of the specialty research groups found within the Association of American Geographers. In this lab you will consider the research fields found within interests of professional geographers.

1. From all the field of specialty areas within the AAG choose two specialties that have a relationship to physical geography. Head each selection on your paper with the title of the specialty group and describe how this group's research interests relate to physical geography. No more than two paragraphs for each specialty. You may do an on-line search outside the AAG ....to develop your answer.

2. Now, choose one of the research specialty groups that relates to your major, minor or personal academic interests. In no more than two paragraphs describe the relationship this research has with your academic interest.
