Into Conversion Experiences?
Sometimes it is necessary to convert point data so as to be able to fit it into a particular GIS software. One of the most standard application of conversion is the Lat Long to Degree Decimal. That is, perhaps you have taken your data reading in the field with a GPS in Lat Long Coordinates and now you need to get this into the DD format. Sometimes the software you are working with can convert this for you...if not you may have to use one of the converters below. In addition there are some other converters here with respect to time, distance, etc, which might be of interest to you.
