- The E.O.U. Catalog contains information about all E.O.U. majors and classes, including mathematics. Or you could look at the check sheet listing requirements for the mathematics major.
- The American Mathematical Society keeps a page of information about careers available to those with a mathematics degree
- And read career statements from graduates in mathematics from Eastern.
Student Activities
- Every winter we hold the annual EOU Mathematics Competition. Congratulations to Hieu Do, Doug Brown, and Justin Hilyard who placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in our most recent competition.
- The Spring Symposium is held every year to give students the opportunity to show their scholarly achievements.
- We frequently have teams compete in The Mathematical Contest in Modeling, sponsored by COMAP, the Consortium for Mathematics and its Applications. See COMAP's official site or try Eastern's local COMAP page.
Sites of Interest in Mathematics Education
- The Oregon Council of Teachers of Mathematics is an organization of kindergarten through college teachers. They sponsor workshops, publish journals, and have other information related to teaching in Oregon available.
- There is also a National Council of Teachers of Mathematics dedicated to the teaching of mathematics, elementary through university.
- Math Forum a resource for mathematics education.
- The Center for Innovation in Mathematics Teaching has many interesting project materials together with evaluation results.
- At The New Mathwright Library you can download computer explorations of mathematical topics.
- The Linear Algebra Toolkit is an online matrix-friendly calculator.
- An interesting site devoted to the History of Mathematics.
- Kathy Schrock's Mathematics Education Guide provides links for many interesting math sites.
- The Eisenhower National Clearinghouse is another site devoted to math and science education.

- Mathpuzzle.com has an eclectic, but interesting assortment of mathematical information, discoveries, and puzzles.
- The Virtual Probability Lab gives lots of hands-on ways for studying questions about probability, but you'll need to get java plug-ins.
