Welcome to my web page. Contained here are my course syllabi, some guidelines for written work and other projects, my curriculum vitae, a link to careers in anthropology, and things related to my professional activities. I am in the process of updating various pages, so if something is a couple years old, I'm sure to be in the process of redoing it. A few things are presently off-line while under revision. Please email me with any questions.

I am currently serving as the chairperson of the Division of Social Sciences and Modern Languages, or DSSML (pronounced, with fondness, "dismal"). I am teaching half-time and "administrating" half-time. I have been on the faculty at EOU since fall of 1995.


I was on sabbatical during academic year 2004-05 conducting research into how the Lewis and Clark expedition is being interpreted in museums, historic sites, literature, the arts, and popular media. I have been keeping a weblog called "Lewis and Clark Trail Watch" during this time with photographs of and comments about the things I've seen and places I've visited.
