6:00 - 7:30 PM - Discussion of the following topics: What is a nature journal? Why should I create a nature journal? Tools for the project; techniques for getting started
7:30 - 9:00 PM - Write introduction/preface to journals; practice drawing activities in the biology building
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM - Field trip to GROWISER wildflower
preserve on Pumpkin Ridge
Bird/mammal/plant identification
Landscape sketching
Drawing organisms
Photography (optional)
Writing about observations and reflections
3:30 PM - return to classroom to share work from the day
5:00 PM - end of class
