Blue Mountains Conservancy has a strong partnership with Eastern Oregon University. Students in EOU biology and chemistry programs use the End Creek wetland as an outdoor classroom for a wide variety of learning opportunities and research projects.

The Conservancy provides educational outreach to other area schools at the K-12 levels. We have hosted field trips for elementary, middle and high school level classes in the Elgin School District and the La Grande School District.

The Conservancy also provides outdoor educational experiences for other community groups, such as La Grande's Think Link Children's Museum.

"Today I felt important.  Like for once I was helping acquire useful data as a student.  It was nice to see the potential that this project has.  I feel like I am involved with something great, even if I only contributed a little.  Today I felt like a real biologist for the first time in my career."
