I moved to Oregon in 2006 after 25+ years in Colorado. I received my BSN-RN in 1991 from Regis University, my Masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in 1998 from the University of Northern Colorado, and my PhD in Nursing in 2005 from University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. In Colorado. I was an EMT for 10 years in a volunteer mountain fire department and then worked 12 years as a nurse in the Emergency Department in Boulder, CO. I then worked 5+ years in the Emergency Department as an FNP. I have done clinical and classroom nursing education since 1992. I currently teach in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs for OHSU and work part-time as a FNP.
