"I believe in miracles in every area except writing. Experience has shown me that there are no miracles in writing. The only thing that produces good writing is hard work."

--Isaac Bashevis Singer

It is tempting to believe that somewhere out there is a book, a handout, or a website that will work miracles for us. Issac Bashevis Singer reminds us that there are no miracles in writing and only hard work will produce good writing.

The Guides below cannot work miracles or replace the hard work which writing requires, but for the hardworking writer, the Guides below can provide very useful tools and information to guide you in your writing process.

Some of these resources have been made available by EOU student and Writing Tutor Melissa Vargas who volunteered to make these forms available to tutors and writers via the OWL. Thank you Melissa!
