Course Feedback

WR 220

I find the usual course evaluations so limiting, so here I ask for information that will truly help me continue to improve the course.

The following prompts ask you to reflect on your experiences in the course. In your responses, please be thorough and specific. Please number your responses.

Course Feedback

1) Review the course outline. What specific reading or readings struck you the most and why?

2) What specific activity struck you the most and why?

3) What would you change in this course for next term? (Try to avoid saying "less work.") What would you specifically delete, add, or change?

For On-campus students only:

4) What feedback can you give me on the EOU/High School Writing Connection. What worked? What might we add or change to make it work better?

Becoming a Tutor

Students must receive a B or above in WR 220 to join the Writing Tutor Staff.

Would you like to tutor next term? On-campus and/or online? (I generally want tutors to tutor face-to-face for one term before joining the OWL.)

If so, would you please send me an unofficial copy of your transcripts with your Final Reflection.

Also, on the transcripts, write in the name of your professor for each course.

(I use this information when it is necessary to match a student with a tutor who has taken a course, and sometimes from a specific professor.)

At the beginning of each term there is a Writing Tutor staff meeting on the first day of classes at 4 p.m. Please mark this in your calendars.
