Reflection due next week. Assignments: Mon. Study Guide #3 due; Peer Response Group Video "Student Writing Groups" Wed. Reader-friendly draft of Essay #1 due for Peer Response Groups and a copy submitted to instructor. For Peer Response Groups, always bring 3 copies of a draft. I do not respond to this early draft, but only record that you have partcipated in the process and to give you the credit. I wait to respond to the revised draft due Week 4 that has benefitted from peer response, tutor response, and is the product of multiple drafts and revision. Also, schedule a session with a writing tutor to get feedback on your draft. Be sure to ask the tutor to complete a "Blue Slip" (what we call the Tutorial Report form). Begin Tutor Observations. Week 4 Helping Students to Get Started Readings: St. Martin's, Shamoon and Burns, "A Critique of Pure Tutoring" Assignments: Mon. " How I Learn (VARK) and Personality Inventory " Reflection due. Bring hard copy of results to class as well. Also, Study Guide #4 and Peer Response Reflection due. Wed. Revised Writer's Autobiography due with drafts; also staple to the back your Being Tutored Reflection with Blue Slip (Tutorial Response Form). Note: Your final revision of your Writer's Autobiography for evaluation will be due one week from the day that I return it to you with suggestions for revision. I will use the OWL format for responding in order to model for you how to respond online. Submit your revision with all of your drafts stapled behind, including my response.
