"Wit"
set to open Thursday in Schwarz Theatre The Pulitzer prize-winning play "Wit" by Margaret Edson, presented by the EOU Theatre Department, opens at in Schwarz Theatre at 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 6. Showings will also be held on Friday, Feb. 7, and Saturday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m. The production also runs February 13-15 at 8:00 p.m. in the Schwarz Theatre in Loso Hall. This landmark play, which explores the journey a woman makes in her last few hours on earth, is insightful, funny, and poignant. Assisted by a team from the Grande Rhonde Hospital, the cast and crew of the show have attempted to create an atmosphere not unlike the hit televison show E.R. EOU 2000 graduate Travis Gray directs the play assisted by Rebekka Handschke as stage emanager. April Curtis, EOU theatre professor who shaved her head for the role (the fact is mentioned in the script), leads a strong and energetic cast in this brilliant new play. Check out some new talent and some old favorites as you see a production where the issues of life and death are presented with humor and warmth. The play is $4 for students and seniors and $6 for general admission. Thanks for your support.
