Work to begin on EOU sports multi-purpose fields The Eastern Oregon University athletic department has announced that it will break ground on two new multi-purpose athletic complexes this week. The ground-breaking ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday. Dignitaries scheduled to attend are Interim President
Dixie Lund, Vice President for Student Affairs Sheldon Nord, Vice
President for Business and Finance Darlene Becker Construction, a La Grande contractor, was awarded
the contract last month to build two competition size football/soccer
fields on land just south of Community Becker Construction was the general contractor for the Quinn Coliseum expansion project that began in 2000 and was completed in 2002. "The main goal of our firm is to provide superior products
and service to our customers," Becker said. "Our company has proudly
