Measure
28 forum planned for Tuesday, Jan. 7,
in McKenzie A public forum on the impact of Ballot Measure 28 will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. today in McKenzie Theatre at Eastern Oregon University. Four panels will discuss losses of funding should Oregon voters turn down the measure on Jan. 28, and Bob Nelson of the state Employment Department will discuss the affect on unemployment. A question-and-answer period will follow the panel discussions. The measure would provide a $725 million, three-year
state income tax rate increase. If approved, the measure would forestall
