Homecoming Weekend features full athletics slate

La Grande, Oregon - Eastern Oregon University alumni searching for something to watch Homecoming Weekend won't have to look far.

"We have a full slate of activities scheduled for homecoming. It truly should appeal to any sport fan and provides a great venue for families to enjoy Mountaineer athletics," said Rob Cashell, Director of Athletics.

Starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, the alumni baseball and softball games begin at Snowflake Field and the softball field. Alumni will take on the current Mountaineer teams.

The nationally ranked Mountaineer men's and women's cross country teams host the annual EOU Invitational at 10 a.m.

At 1 p.m., the EOU football team takes on Pacific Lutheran, a squad it put up a good fight against last season on the road and losing by a mere touchdown, 24-17.
