COMMUNITY STADIUM PROJECT ON COURSE

Published: August 13, 2003

The renovations at Community Stadium are on schedule to be completed in time for the season-opening La Grande High School and Eastern Oregon University home football games the weekend of Sept. 12-13. Subcontractors are busy installing the plumbing, electrical and drywall work, the retaining wall is in place, and the expanded seating either will be ready for season openers or assembled sometime in September. Work on the adjacent multi-purpose fields for soccer and intramural sports started Monday with hydro seeding expected by late fall. The fields will not be used until fall, 2004.
