Sports media day announced [EOU release]
Eastern Oregon University is inviting sports reporters and editors to a special Sports Media Day and hosted luncheon on Aug. 22. Slated to start at 11:30 a.m., the luncheon will feature a University Update from EOU President Phillip Creighton, who will also introduce new Mountaineer Athletic Director, Rob Cashell.
Davenport releases reading assessment book [EOU release]
Reading changes in the text are miscues, not mistakes. Dr. Ruth Davenport, an Eastern Oregon University associate professor of education, spent three-and-a-half years compiling information for teachers on this topic in her first book entitled "Miscues Not Mistakes: Reading Assessment In The Classroom."
