May 4: Schimmel inducted into state Wrestling Hall of Fame [EOU release]
Rollin Schimmel has wrestling in his blood. For most of his life, Schimmel has either wrestled or coached wrestling. And now it has paid off for the Eastern Oregon University 1967 graduate. On Saturday, May 4, Schimmel will be one of four inductees into the Oregon Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
May 11: 32nd annual Spring Celebration and Pow Wow [EOU release]
Native American culture will be displaying its finest on Saturday, May 11. The 32nd annual Spring Celebration and Pow Wow, presented by Eastern Oregon University’s Speel-Ya Student Club, the IFC and the Native American Program. Grand entries will perform at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Quinn Coliseum. The event is free and open to the public.
