EOU adds media arts degree [The Observer]
Eastern Oregon University will join a select group of schools in the West beginning winter term. EOU is adding a media arts degree program. The degree recently received approval from the State Board of Higher Education and will be available starting in January. Eastern will be the only school in the Oregon University System with a media arts degree.
Gold members get 'battlefield' experience [The Observer]
The hazard was imaginary and real. Christopher Kerr understood this well. Kerr was among six soldiers participating in an FTX — field training exercise — conducted by Eastern Oregon University's National Guard GOLD (Guard Officer Leadership Detachment) program. The GOLD soldiers were in the rugged High Valley area between Cove and Union Nov. 8-9.
Children learn video production at EOU [The Observer]
The audience was sparse, but the intensity of 500-watt lights helped create a standing room only-like atmosphere. Children were taking turns conducting scripted, on-camera interviews Saturday afternoon as part of a Think Link Discovery Museum class on video production.
Cross country men 2nd; women 7th at Nationals [EOU release]
The Eastern men proved they are, and will continue to be, a force to be reckoned with. The Eastern women proved they should've been given a little more respect. The Eastern Oregon cross country teams completed arguably their most successful season Saturday with top 10 finishes at the NAIA Cross Country National Champion-ships.
