November 19: EOU names finalists in provost search [EOU release]
Eastern Oregon University has announced four finalists in its search for a provost and vice president for academic affairs. A schedule of on-campus interviews for each of the finalists is being completed and will be announced shortly. According to the search committee co-chairs Peter Wordelman, associate professor of music, and Darlene Morgan, vice president for administration and finance, travel arrangements are being made and interviews should be completed by the second week of December.
November 23: Mountaineers head coach resigns [EOU release]
Eastern Oregon University Mountaineer Football Head Coach Rob Cushman announced his resignation on Wednesday, following a meeting with Harris Shelton, vice president for student affairs and Rob Cashell, athletic director. Plans for a replacement have not been announced.
EOU continues enrollment growth [EOU release]
Enrollment figures just released through the Oregon University System show Eastern Oregon University with a nearly seven percent increase in student population — well above the school's targeted numbers. EOU's official numbers are released after the fourth week of classes each fall term.
The Observer's 10th annual Holiday Music Festival at EOU [EOU release]
The Observer's Holiday Music Festival at Eastern Oregon University will present its 10th annual performance on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. Nearly 200 performers from EOU and the Grande Ronde Valley will perform at this gala event.
