April 3: Price is Right for EOU student [The Observer]
The Eastern Oregon University freshman softball pitcher was the next contestant on the Price is Right last week, but she came home with more than just some swell consolation prizes. How about a party boat? And an indoor fitness center? Or a 5-foot tall gumball machine? For guessing within $900 of the price of her showcase, Thomas won them all and became the highlight of the softball team's annual trip to Southern California.
April 16: How will EOU grow? [The Observer]
Can Eastern Oregon University’s campus grow significantly and retain its history and intimate atmosphere? Portland architect George “Bing” Sheldon believes so. Sheldon is the chairman of SERA Architects, a Portland firm that created a master plan to allow EOU to accommodate its potential growth. SERA was aked to make its plans on the assumption that EOU will have 3,000 full-time students in 2010 and and 4,250 students in 2020. EOU now has about 1,900 full-time equivalent students.
