La Grande, Oregon – The play “Orphans,” directed by John Hobson, is the season opener for the Theatre Department at Eastern Oregon University. The show will run Oct. 19-22 in Schwarz Theatre at 8 p.m.
"Orphans” is a comedy written by Lyle Kessler. It is the story of an older brother who supports his mildly retarded younger brother by committing petty thievery. His next victim is a rich man who ends up turning the tables on the two boys, becoming a father figure to them in the process. Daniel Petznick, Christopher Hooper and Alexander Mitzimberg make up the cast. Viewer discretion is advised.
Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the EOU Box Office at (541) 962-3753. Admission is $4.00 for students, seniors and general admission.
