La Grande — The works of five regional artists will be displayed for the Honored Artists of Eastern Oregon exhibit in Nightingale Gallery on the Eastern Oregon University campus.
The public is invited to attend an opening reception, Saturday, June 24 from 7- 9 p.m. at the gallery located in Loso Hall. The show will run through July 28.
Honored artists are Bill Atwood, of La Grande, Jana Brubaker, of Pendleton, Bob Fergison, of Enterprise, Charles Miller, of La Grande, and James Morris, of Baker City. EOU graduate, Jo Topholm. is responsible for the installation of the show. Topholm holds a master of fine arts degree from Washington State University.
The exhibit is sponsored in part by the Oregon Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts. ArtsEast, the home of the Eastern Oregon Regional Arts Council, is a non-profit organization, serving, facilitating, and promoting the arts, arts education and artists living in the 10-county region of eastern Oregon.
Nightingale Gallery is open from 12- 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free. For more information, contact ArtsEast at 962-3624 or call the gallery at 962-3667.
