LA GRANDE, Oregon – A Federal Government Programs Forum for Faith-Based Organizations and Community-Based Organizations will be held at Eastern Oregon University on Tuesday, May 23 in the Hoke Union Building, Room 309. The forum will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 12:30 p.m. Registration is from 8-8:30 a.m.

This free event provides an opportunity to meet with representatives from various federal agencies responsible for loan and grant programs available as part of President Bush’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative. The U.S. Government is committed to ensuring all qualified organizations have equal access to the participating programs and benefits.

Agencies participating in the forum are the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Department of Education, USDA Rural Development, Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Labor.
