About University Advancement

Supporting and advancing EOU’s mission

The University Advancement Office at Eastern Oregon University was established to position, support and advance EOU’s mission. The office is responsible for: alumni affairs, government relations, fundraising and development, news and communications, marketing and publications, community relations, special events, and serves as the primary liaison office for the EOU Foundation and EOU Alumni Association.

University Advancement works with a wide variety of campus partners, including students, faculty, staff, donors, alumni, legislators and community members. The result of a merger between Communications & Marketing, Government Relations, and Alumni & Development departments, this university division employs four administrative faculty positions, five classified staff positions and student employees.

All campus units are affected by the results and accomplishments of the University Advancement office – from grants for faculty projects, to scholarship funds for students, to capital construction and statewide visibility. Directly tied to the mission and strategic goals of the University, the achievements of Univeristy Advancment and its programs are critical to the success of the institution.

By providing leadership, information and education, the office will provide proof of the University’s success and continue to advance it’s efforts on a local, regional and national levels to both internal and external constituencies, including alumni, faculty and staff, prospective and current students, community members, parents and friends.
