Fall is here and winter is fast approaching. So take advantage of the outdoor activities available to us in beautiful mountains, lakes and trails that surround us while you can. When the sun is shining it is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the weather with healthy outdoor activities.

Check out EOU's Outdoor Program, located in the Hoke Building, room 201. The office has cozy couches to lounge, hang out or watch movies about the outdoors, and the staff encourages students to come in and hang out.

In the Outdoor Program office you can meet the student staff - Angela Coleman can help you check out the equipment you need. Charlie Koehler can help you fix your bike and get it ready for trail rides or just riding around town, and Elliot Warton is there to help students find the outdoor activities that you're looking for.

The ODP is free for students and a great way to explore the outdoors. The books, magazines, movies, maps and pamphlets available for use, along with a knowledgeable staff provide a wealth of information.

Students can rent equipment for biking, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, fly-fishing, rafting and camping. So go ahead and plan a trip for the weekend. The staff at the OPD is there to help you get going.

ODP also offers INTACT classes. This term rock climbing and backpacking are offered, and next term winter camping classes will be available.

There are also intact classes students can take. This term the ODP is offering rock climbing and backpacking. Next term will be winter camping classes. So have an adventure this fall and prep for some fun for winter.
