Jennifer Anne Romriell
2008 E.O.U. Graduate in Theatre - Directing
Jennifer was born in Rexburg, Idaho in 1983. She is a Junior transfer student with a triple emphasis in Performance, Directing and Costume Design. She was in her first play while still in her mother's womb. Her mother, Denise Wheeler was playing Gladys Antrobus in "The Skin of Our Teeth", so Jennifer comes to theatre naturally. She began performing on stage at the age of three as a townsperson in "Hello Dolly". She began her college career at Treasure Valley Community College while still in high school and graduated from high school as a Sophomore in college. While at TVCC, she appeared in numerous roles including Hermia in "A Midsummer Night's Dream", Philia in "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum, and Little Red Riding Hood in "Into the Woods" winning "The Golden Chuckie" (TVCC acting award) for each. She has also enjoyed her experience in children's theatre touring shows including "Proud to be an American and "Safety Kids" throughout Eastern Oregon. She has also worked as a counselor at TVCC's MADCamp, a music, art and drama camp for children. She taught classes in ballroom dancing, stage combat and acting. She has appeared on the EOU stage as Alisha in "Hole In the Sky", Sister Robert Anne in "Nunsense", in various roles in "The Scarlet Pimpernel", as Nurse and Medical Student in "Wit"and most recently as Chava in "Fiddler On the Roof". She has been recognized by the American College Theatre Festival garnering an Irene Ryan nomination for her work in "Nunsense", and hair and make-up commendations for "Hole In the Sky" and "Our Town". Jennifer served a proselyting mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 18 months from 2004 - 2006 and got married on September 9, 2006 to Nick Romriell. Congratulations! |
