Female Silhoustte

Emily Smith

Theatre Minor

Emily Smith, though born in Arizona, has lived most of her life in Juneau, Alaska. She is a sophomore pursuing a Music major, and dreams of being a music teacher in the not-too-distant future. She transferred to EOU in January 2012. Emily has been acting, singing, and dancing her whole life, from young days of playing dress-up to more recent experiments with opera. She participated in shows all throughout her high school career, including her favourite, The Little Shop of Horrors, in which she was the voice of Audrey II (the homicidal plant). After graduating high school in 2010 Emily had the honor of performing with various companies in Juneau, in shows such as: The Elixir of Love (Gianetta), La Boheme (Musetta), and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Johanna). Titanic is the first show at EOU she has been a part of, and she hopes it won't be the last. As always, Emily's inspiration and help comes from her instructors, friends, family, and faith. She cannot begin to express her gratitude for all the encouragement she has received over the year.
