Christopher Torres Chris was born Christopher Nicholas Torres to Robin Michelle and Johnny Dee Torres in La Mesa, CA on May 24, 1984. He has three brothers and two sisters: two humans, Brandon and Jared, and three dogs, Martin, Abigail, and Beans. He lived in Santee, CA until the age of ten when he moved to Union, OR with his parents. Having spent the roughest ten months of his life in such a culturally shocking environment, his parents decided to relocate to Baker City, OR (not much better, huh?). Chris received his A.A.O.T. from Blue Mountain Community College and arrived to La Grande in July 2006 to pursue his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Media Arts/Film Studies. When he first came to E.O.U. his minor was business; however, after taking only one business course (financial accounting) he decided that was definitely not for him and switched his minor to something he has always loved: Theatre. Chris’ theatre background is very limited having only been in one performance back in 1995. When he was eleven years old, he was in a musical adaptation of Tom Sawyer in which he played Huck Finn. This is where his love for theatre began. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, Chris was very shy and pulled himself into a shell and Tom Sawyer was his first and last performance. Having grown older he’s regretted the decision to not take theatre any further and has decided to jump back into the scene (no pun intended). After finishing his degree at E.O.U. Chris will be moving back to California to (hopefully) attend the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood. He plans to pursue a career as a film director/screenwriter. He has written several short films and is currently working on his first full-length screenplay. |
