Allison Bassett Performance I was born in Coos Bay, Oregon where I lived 18 great years with my two amazing parents, Ellen and Scott Bassett and younger brother, Jared. My first theatre experience was at the age of 6, where I gave the most magnificent performance of my life as Gretel in The Sound of Music I then attended Marshfield High School, where I had the blessing of being taught by two great teachers, my choir director, Ken Graber and theatre teacher, James Fewer. In the three years that I had Mr. Fewer, he was able to build upon what skills I had, give me diverse opportunities and the tools to become a successful, thinking actor. With out his guidance and knowledge, my goals of being in and continuing in theatre would have been hard to achieve. I became involved with the theatre program my freshman year learning and doing tech for shows. My first high school role was Bananas in A House of Blue Leaves which was one of the biggest challenges and learning experiences of my teen life. I then proceeded to be involved with 6 other shows including: Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Belinda in Noises Off, Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town, Carol in If Today I'm in Real Trouble, Props manager in A Musical Comedy Murder Mystery, and sound technician in Pillow Talk. I am currently a Junior here at Eastern. I am majoring in Music with a Minor in Theatre . My career goals are to teach at the university level and to perform..or both of coarse. I am truly blessed to have enormous passion for both Theatre and Music, and am so glad that I am able to be pursue them at Eastern. |
