Michael Cooper Performance I was born in Turner, Oregon on July 30, 1986. When I was in 5th grade, I moved to La Grande with my family and I have been here for almost 9 years now. When I went to high school, I was given a dare to try out for the school play "A Midsummer Night's Dream". So I took the dare and auditioned. I never expected to ever succeed because I never considered myself an actor, but I ended up getting the part of Peter Quince and I have never been the same since. After that, I tried out for a musical but I didn't get a part because my fear of singing in front of a crowd was a big nerve racking factor. So instead, I auditioned for a part in my senior play, "Dancing at Lughnasa". This is when I fell in love with acting. I got the part of Uncle Jack, a man who comes back to his family in Ireland after living with a clan of lepers in Africa for 25 years . It seemed like when I was on stage, all my fear fell away and total excitement took over. That is how I discovered my passion for acting. Today I am a funny, hopeless romantic, trying to find his place in acting. I am also a major in Multimedia Design, so expect one day that I am either making video games or acting, and hey who knows, maybe even both! |
