Performance

An Elgin, Oregon native, Karen Elena Davis discovered her love of theatre at the Elgin Opera House. Her first production outside of an academic setting was Phantom of the Op’ry with Elgin’s Eighth Street Players. After high school, Karen moved to Lincoln City, Oregon, where she was a member of Theatre West of Lincoln City. She was also an extra in the movie The Feast of Love, which was filmed primarily in Portland, OR and stars Morgan Freeman. “You have to know where to pause the movie and use a magnifying glass to see me, but I’m there. It was a 14 hour day of filming that amounted to about 5 seconds of the final film,” Karen says about her major motion picture debut. After she graduates, Karen is looking at options to relocate and focus on a film acting career. For now, however, she is glad to be back in Eastern Oregon and a part of the EOU Theatre program.
