Buck Potter Theatre Pedagogy Buck Raymond Potter was brought into this world on February 18, 1980 in John Day, Oregon. His entrance into life was kind of a dramatic one, because he was blue and was not breathing the first minute after his birth. Since then it has been one interesting life. He has a father who is going to be 77 in October, and his mother is 70. He has been very grateful for their loving, but strict upbringing. Thank you, mom and dad for all of your love and support. Well, onto the acting career. In 5th grade, Buck's teacher decided to do a play about the Civil War, and since one of his favorite historical icons is Abraham Lincoln, he did a little research, tried out, and got the part. He liked acting so much that he has kept on doing it to this very day. Some of his favorite roles include Jasper Noonan in Hole In the Sky, and The King in Big River. Buck took two years off in 2005 to find his place in the ‘Real’ world. He volunteered for both the Joseph High School Thespians, as well as the Joseph Music Department as a Technical Director and Voice Coach in 2006-2007. He also began his own summer theater company in Joseph, Oregon called the Wallowa Lake Players in the summer of 2007, producing three productions for seven weeks. He hopes this will become a good little tradition that the tourist and locals of Wallowa County can enjoy. |
