Lighting Design

I was born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. Growing up I did not have a clue of what I wanted to be but I remember seeing the play Little Shop of Horrors in high school, and I liked how well it was produced. The lighting and scenic designs were amazing. That was my first exposure to theatre. After high school. I came to EOU and took my first theatre class during my sophomore year. It was then that I discovered how fun theatre could be. After taking classes in theatre, I found that lighting and scenic design were areas that really sparked my interest. Since then I have been involved with many different productions. I served as the the Lighting Designer for The Odd Couple  and The Children's Hour for the 2009-2010 production season. This year I have been the Lighting Designer for the musical, Assassins directed by Ken Bush and I also became a member of USITT while attending this year’s Conference in Charlotte NC. I am scheduled to graduate with my theatre degree in 2011 and am looking forward to expanding my knowledge in Light Design and attending graduate school.
