Testing Services at EOU
Accuplacer Online Placement Exams
PURPOSE: It is administered for the purpose of recommending placement into EOU writing and math courses.
PREPARATION: You should review any previous reading, writing and math courses you may have taken. We recommend that students familiarize themselves with the Accuplacer exam before taking the test. Taking the Accuplacer off campus:
If you wish to take the Accuplacer in your hometown before you arrive at Eastern, you must choose a proctor. Your proctor must be a person who meets one of the requirements listed at the following site:

Your proctor will also need to fill out the following Proctor Verification Form:

TIME: This exam has an average time frame of one and one-half hours, but no time limit is applied.
PROHIBITED ITEMS: Food, beverage, smoking, calculators, scratch paper, cell phones or electronic devices of any kind are prohibited in the testing room.
SCORES: Our academic advisers will evaluate your Accuplacer score and discuss them with you during your advising appointment. Your scores on Accuplacer are used for placement purposes only and will not appear on your EOU transcript.
