About the Exam: CLEP

The CLEP is a computer based test offered through Educational Testing Service (ETS). The CLEP is a credit-by-examination program that provides students with an opportunity to gain college credit for college level knowledge and skills they have already acquired.

Check with your advisor to see if you are eligible to participate in CLEP.

TIME: The CLEP registration and examination lasts approximately 2 hours.

TEST PREPARATION: CLEP Sampler software and preparation manuals are available for exam preparation. These materials are available in Inlow Hall 113.

PROHIBITED ITEMS: Food, beverages, smoking, scratch paper, back packs, dictionaries, cell phones, and electronic devices of any type are prohibited within the testing room.

PHOTO IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED: A government issued photo identification is required at the time of testing.

SCORES: Scores will be issued to the educational institutions you choose. EOU will receive test scores only if you select EOU as a recipient.

FEE: Two payments are required. A $65 fee is payable to CLEP and a $25 fee is payable to EOU. CLEP accepts checks, money orders, and credit cards. EOU accepts checks, money orders, credit cards, and cash.
