Tech-Fee Committee Minutes

May 15, 2003

Members Present: Anna Cavinato, Adam Patton, Bob Larison, Mike Cannon.

Resource members present: Patty Cutright, Marv Taylor, Anna Maria Dill.

Minutes:

Tech Fee Committee met on this date at 7:00am to discuss the fund balance remaining in the Tech Fee account and make funding recommendations for that balance.

Helen confirmed, after consulting with the Budget Office, that there is approximately $54,000.00 available in the Tech Fee account to fund additional proposals.

After discussion it was decided to recommend the following proposals for full or partial funding as indicated:

1. Electronic Music Lab, Part I (John McKinnon), fund the remainder of the approved proposal @ $18,000.00
2. Library Laptops for Lending, fund the purchase of an additional laptop @ $1,648.95
3. Cross Country/Track Field Equipment, fully fund @ $4,375.00
4. Equipment for LH208 (Kat Galloway), fund the purchase of two additional digital cameras @ $3,852.20
5. Music Equipment (Peter Wordelman) fund the remainder of the approved proposal @ $4,280.00
6. Site license for Gaussian 98w (Jeff Woodford), fully fund @ $3,010.00
7. Side Scan Sonar Transducer, fully fund @ $5250.00
8. Electronic Music Lab – partially fund (without the mixer) @ $14,532.00

Anna will send the committee recommendations to Provost Miller. Dr. Miller will remind the principle investigators that all orders must be complete prior to June 30, 2003
