Members Present:   Steffany Long, Carolyn Bloyed, Linda Fratztke, Anna Cavinato, Brian Sather

Resource Members Present:  Paul Rowan, Karen Clay, Helen Moore

Guest:  John McKinnon

Minutes from the November 16, 2006 meeting were approved with one correction – The Library Public Scanning Workstation was discussed and approved as submitted - $3,000.00.

Helen informed the committee that all the equipment purchased for last year’s McKenzie Sound System proposal has been in storage since it arrived on campus last May.  Paul raised concerns about warranties on the equipment – often it is only 90 days from the delivery date.  Linda will contact Rob Kreps regarding getting the equipment installed.

The Nursing Program’s request to have the networkable HP 4250 LaserJet printer instead of the non-networkable HP 1320 LaserJet installed in the Debriefing Room was discussed.  Linda will talk with Steve Clements and if he feels it is appropriate to install the larger printer, the committee will approve that.  If not, he will install the smaller printer.

John McKinnon told the committee that he felt the Groth Studio proposal should be not be ranked too highly this year because the Studio is currently not serving a large number of students.  However, John stressed that the Electronic Music Lab Mac Pro Proposal is critical to several music classes.  The current lab is heavily used and increasing the number of Mac should make it available to even more students.

Individual proposals were briefly discussed as follows:

A question was raised regarding how to advertise the equipment in the Media Library to the greatest number of students.  One suggestion was to use the wallpaper in the Enhanced Learning Environments units to list available equipment.

Next meeting is scheduled for 8:00am, Thursday December 7th in the Library Conference Room.
