

STUDY ABROAD - APPLICATION PROCESS
Please remember that you are responsible for completing all necessary paperwork and activities required by the EOU Study Abroad Office and the program provider prior to departure.
Step 1: Contact the Study Abroad Office
-Discuss your options for programs
Step 2: Choose a program
Step 3: Complete program application
-Submit photocopy of the application materials to the Study Abroad Office
-Certain programs may require you to participate in a personal interview with the Study Abroad Advisor
Step 4: Apply for scholarships/financial aid
-Meet with Carolyn Prescott in the Financial Aid Office
Step 5: Visit your academic advisor
-To determine what courses you should take while you are abroad
-Complete the course approval form to receive EOU credits
ONCE YOU ARE ACCEPTED
Step 6:Apply for your passport and visa immediately
-Check with the program to find out if you need to obtain a visa
-The process can take a long time to complete
Step 7: Contact Student Accounts
-Each student will be charged a $300 study abroad fee
-You must let them know that you will be studying abroad and how you plan to pay for it
-Please make sure to complete all the required forms prior to your departure
Step 8: Travel itinerary and Passport
-So we know where you are and how to get in touch with you if necessary
-Provide a copy of your passport to the Study Abroad Office
