III. Of Mice & Menus

This section is on Mice and Menus. Your mouse, depending on what machine you use, usually has one to three buttons. Your left button, if clicked usually has a menu pop-up that includes "back" so you can click to your way to your last selection. When you are at some other web sites you often can use the right button of your mouse for another menu that allows you to copy or save material. Of course pressing down usually highlights selected materials. Some of the newer mice have the ability to move it instead of the scroll bar.

A few words on menus. Your browser has menus at the top. You can create bookmarks, and a whole directory that organizes your course, so that you can go to frequent places, such as the Course Time Schedule. Most browsers have a GO category that stores your most recent web pages during a session, so you can easily select them. If you do alot of web work you might want to periodically clear your memory cache under options, network preferences, so that you can go more quickly. Other menu options include printing the web pages, or when you are in a hurry, set your options so that the you are not on autoload. You can then click if you want to see the pictures/graphics, but you will save downloading time.
