Minutes

Present:  Mary Fields, Doug Briney, Kimberly Mueller, Chris Cronin, Stephen Jenkins, Camille Consolvo, Colleen Dunne-Cascio, Le Alexander, Dylan Lawrence

 

Approval of Minutes – a motion was made and seconded to approve the Minutes of the April 12, 2012 meeting as amended. Motion passed.

 

Action Items:

a)      Committee ex-officio membership voting rights – Consolvo gave an overview of the rationale for bringing the ex-officio membership voting rights forward to the committee. A motion was made and seconded to leave the ex-officio members voting rights as is, with all having rights to vote. Motion passed.

b)      Sexual Harassment policy discussion – Consolvo gave an overview of the rationale for bringing the sexual harassment policy forward for discussion. A discussion took place. It was suggested that Consolvo and Dunne-Cascio review the policy and provide their feedback to the committee for discussion.

c)      Grievance Procedures revisions – further discussion took place regarding the draft grievance procedures. It was suggested that Briney and Dunne-Cascio continue to review/revise the Appeals section and bring additional recommended revisions to the next committee meeting.

d)     Academic Honesty Code revisions – tabled to next meeting.

Policy Updates – none

• As a result of scheduling conflicts, the Student Affairs Committee meeting scheduled for May 24, 2012 has been cancelled. We will send out a doodle to check the availability of the committee members to meet on May 17 instead.
