The purpose of the Multicultural Center is to develop and deliver programs and services designed to support and retain students from socially and culturally diverse backgrounds.  The Center offers an inclusive educational environment that nurtures cross-cultural communication and fosters the exchange of diverse perspectives and ideals.  In addition, the Center is committed to offering students a place to engage in multicultural activities that enhance their social and academic endeavors as well as prepare them for success in a diverse global society.

We encourage you to:

• Participate in our events and learn about a variety of cultures that are represented here at EOU
• Utilize our computer lab, equipped with 11 networked computers and a printer as well as a staff on duty to assist you.
• Visit our Multicultural Center lounge – relax, hang out, meet with new or old friends, hold a meeting or a study group
• Play pool and socialize

Support services available at the Multicultural Center for you to utilize include: 

• Individual academic support
• Writing tutor
• Cultural and transitions issues
• Academic planning and preparation
• Personal issues support and referrals
• Financial Aid and Scholarship assistance
• General questions and inquiries
