Review of Pending
Safety Grams:
- Outdoor volleyball court padding is still pending
Review of Hazard Communication
Section of Safety Plan:
- Reviewed Chapter Nine; Helen to keep track of changes
and give to Irene for updating purposes.
- Jerry Marshall should attend the next meeting.
- Dept. Binders should have explanation sheet.
- Binders must be in accessible areas and clearly marked.
- Do fire fighters know what chemicals are in the building;
yes, the Fire Marshall keeps track.
- We need to view the video from the library and confirm
that it's there.
- At the next meeting, we should discuss the legal requirements
for hazard communication training.
- Steffany Long to put the Hazard Communication on the
web.
- Are students that use chemicals trained; yes, the faculty
go over safety protocols during class.
- Irene to double-check the use of a training certificate
form.
- Who is the contracting officer that the hazard communication
section is referring to? Irene will check.
Other Business:
- Building inspections by Campus Security are complete.
Helen will bring the results to the next meeting.
- The Safety Committee should inspect a building as a group.
We will do Loso Hall in May.
Next meeting will
be April 11 th in Hoke 301.
