Meeting was called to order at 1:00pm

 

Minutes from the November 28th meeting were approved with one correction.  Muhiba Rabejanova (for Vivian Petersen) should be added to those present.

-Two employees fell on the ice.  No time loss.

 

Safety Grams - None

– One report of an accident on 8th Street Hill – Rob witnessed a 50ish year old woman sledding with her child – she hit the bump to make the sled fly up and she came down hard.  Ambulance was called.  Since she landed on city property, there is no actual liability to EOU, but any injury is a concern.

Building Inspection reports – December

(Inspection report was submitted by Becky Lafferty – this is her first time to do the inspections)

Loso Hall – No hazards reported

Hoke Union Building – No hazards reported

Quinn – More exterior lighting needed on South side of the building

Zabel Hall – More lighting needed at north door closest to the Women’s Resource & Referral Center

Pierce Library – No hazards reported

Ackerman – No hazards reported

Inlow Hall – No hazards reported

 

Sub Committee to plan campus fire drills will meet at 10:00am on Thursday, January 4th in Rob’s Office.  Sub-Committee members are Rob, Stanna, Traci and Sue Rayburn.

 

Stanna  will continue to pursue the volleyball court issue with Brian Avilla – Hopefully, he will be able to attend the next meeting.

 

Helen notified the committee that she will resign as a member of the Safety committee no later than June 30, 2007.  She has been a member of the committee for ten years, but now needs more time to devote to her regular duties.  She asked for suggestions of someone to replace her.

 

There was discussion regarding meeting times.  1:00pm has proven to be difficult for some members.  It was agreed to move to 1:15pm for future meetings.

 

Next meeting is scheduled for January 15, 2007 at 1:15pm
