NEW BUSINESS

Minutes from last meeting approved as submitted.

Introduction of new members: Jeff Dunbar, Jeff Witten

New 801s (Workman Comp report)
None

Non-801s
-Employee suffered wrist pain from lifting object.

New Safety Grams
-Steps by Hoke loading dock have barrel blocking safety light. Jeff Witten will move the barrel.
-Elevator mechanical room in Loso Hall is cluttered. Bob will follow-up.
-Lighting on east side of 8th Street hill is inadequate. Helen will schedule the annual Let There Be Light tour and include this concern in the report of the tour's findings.
-Some students fell on ice on the sidewalk in front of the Science center. The ice resulted from the sprinkler lines being blown out for the winter. This is not a workman's comp issue, but it is a Risk Management issue. It may be Lydig's responsibility. Sue Cain will follow-up.

Irene suggested that we review the Safety Plan to determine the terms of membership on the committee for non-permanent members. The plan will be review at a later meeting.

Steve Wadner will pursue the possibility of bringing local paramedics on campus to provide safety training on the prevention of injuries.

Steve Wadner informed the committee that all lights on campus have now been inventoried and numbered. This should help with the identification of reporting non-functional lights. Fire extinguishers will be inventoried and numbered in the near future.

The security department is putting together fire alarm training. Steve will inform the committee when the details are finalized.

-Ryan has located some padding that can be glued to the concrete border around the Volleyball Court. Athletics are willing to share the cost. Ryan will pursue.
