No New Safety Grams

George Vorhauer, from OSHA and Irene conducted a brief campus tour before the meeting. George identified over fifty potential citable offenses. He will send a complete list of those offenses to the Safety Committee. George noted that there are safety materials and information available on the Web at orosha.org.

George noted that 90% of all EOU injuries are sprains and strains and most happen to grounds and custodial workers. He suggested that a priority for the Safety Committee should be finding ways to reduce these common injuries.

George stressed the importance of workplace safety and managing a safety program. He encouraged us to find ways to make the campus community aware that safety is everyone's responsibility.
